THRIVING since arriving in South Australia, Weregoingtogetcha is expected to continue her strong form at Globe Derby tomorrow night.

Running just one second from eight Victorian starts, Weregoingtogetcha has completed two wins and a second from three outings since arriving in SA.

Stating the daughter of Bettors Delight has exceeded expectations, trainer Matt Maguire is confident Weregoingtogetcha can continue her steady transition through the grades as a local.

“To be honest I wasn’t sure how she would measure up here, but she has done really well,” Maguire said. “She seems to be thriving on the class here and is exceeding expectations at this stage.”

To be driven by Samantha Hill, Weregoingtogetcha will begin from the inside of the back row over 2230 metres.

Early markets have the four-year-old as the $3.50 second elect, with Jawsofgoodtime the $2.40 favourite from barrier four.

Also racing in strong form, Jawsofgoodtime boasts four wins from his last six starts.

“It’s actually a pretty even field,” Maguire said. “There are a few in it with good form.

“I haven’t worked out any plans from the draw and will leave it up Sam to decide once the field is released.”
