Life After racing
The Standardbred is a very diverse animal and at the end of their racing career, there is a life after racing, as they can be re-trained for a number of disciplines.
HRSA is committed to working closely with registered re-trainers who currently provide an amazing service, volunteering to help horses exit their competitive environment and prepare them for their next journey in life after racing.
Please like and follow these re-trainers – Clover Lodge & Silver Shadows on Facebook and get in touch with them if you would like more information about giving a Standardbred a home.
Thank you to everyone who is contributing photos and short stories for our newsletter, informing us of their retired racer and their progression in their new life!
Email HRSA if you have any great life after racing stories and photos we can share here saharness@saharness.org.au
