SA TROTS -Sunshineanrainbows set to join family members on Southern Cross honour roll

REGARDLESS of her draw, it will all but take an act of God to prevent Sunshineanrainbows from joining several of her family members on one of South Australia’s most prestigious honours rolls.
Undefeated from three starts, Sunshineanrainbows’ most recent success came in a Southern Cross heat at Globe Derby last Saturday.
Not only did that secure the Paul Cavallaro-trained filly a berth in Friday night’s Final, she is a prohibitive favourite to capture the futurity’s decider from barrier five.
“As she keeps proving, she is a very nice filly,” Cavallaro said. “She’s getting better each week and I think it is fair to say she has the wood on the others.
“Even from what could be an awkward draw, I’m still very confident with her and think it will take a big run to beat her.
“She’s come through the heat in super shape and her work has been terrific.”
By Sweet Lou, Sunshineanrainbows is from Group One star and prolific producer Saved A Corka, which boasts the 2007 Southern Cross Final among her victories.
As a matron Saved A Corka is the dam of Aspiring Artist and Rap Artist which have also enjoyed success in Southern Cross Finals.
Saved A Corka is a sister to dual Southern Cross star Hes A Corka, with the family also including Southern Cross winner, Come On Frank.
“It has been a great family and I’ll be more than happy if she can add her name to the list of Southern Cross winners,” Cavallaro said.
