SA TROTS - Bien Hoa gets his chance tonight at Globe

VETERAN warhorse Bien Hoa has drawn to be rewarded for his consistency at Globe Derby tonight.
Racing in his customary solid form, Bien Hoa has been among the placings during three of his last four starts.
In fact, the 14-year-old hasn’t finished further back than fourth in his last seven starts.
Naturally pleased with the gelding’s performances, trainer Shane Loone is confident Bien Hoa can add his 35th win to his tally.
“He’s just an old marvel,” Loone said. “He seriously doesn’t know his age.
“Sure he feels a few things here and there like all us old blokes do, but he goes on like a horse half his age.
“He’s had a dozen starts since his win in Mount Gambier in April and has only not weighed-in once!”
To be driven by Michael Smith, Bien Hoa has drawn to settle prominently from barrier three.
“It’s a good draw for him and he should get his chance from there,” Loone said.
Loone will also be represented by Liberty Tee Jay, which has drawn the pole, and Celestial Daybreak, which will come from gate seven.
“Good ole Celestial Daybreak has a win, a pair of seconds and a two fourths from his last five, so he’s in good form too,” Loone said.
“Liberty Tee Jay’s work is better than his form suggests and he may surprise a few from his draw.”
