SA Trots - Vic trainer with two favourites for Globe Saturday night

REGULAR visitor Emma Stewart will make another South Australian raid during the weekend.

Boasting a phenomenal strike rate when crossing the border, the premier Victorian trainer has a pair of runners at Globe Derby on Saturday night – both favourites!

Stewart’s previous interstate campaigns have seen her capture the SA Cup, Derby and Oaks, Southern Cross and The Allwood Finals.

This time around the record breaker will contest the Pacing For Pink Classic and Silver Salver.

Winner of her two starts this season, Queen Treacherie is engaged in the Classic, while No Notthebuttons is in the BOTRA Sales-oriented feature.

Although first-up since January 15, Queen Treacherie heads the market after drawing to lead throughout from barrier two.

“She had a short campaign after coming over from New Zealand late last year and did well during her time off,” Stewart said. “She’s worked up really well and is ready to go on with it.

“This race is an ideal way for her to kick off her campaign.”

Owned by similar interests as his stablemate, No Notthebuttons will make his debut from barrier four.

Three others in the field of six are also debutantes, with Star Man the most ‘experienced’ with three starts, which have netted a win and a pair of placings.

Prepared by 86-year-old John Conry, Star Man will come from gate five.

“Buttons has shown promise at home and we expect a good performance from him,” Stewart said.

“Hopefully he will handle the trip away and show his best on the night.”
