SA TROTS - Its coming up Sunshineanrainbows

EXCEPTIONALLY-BRED filly Sunshineanrainbows will attempt to correct a family ‘wrong’ during the weekend.

From Group One star and prolific producer Saved A Corka, Sunshineanrainbows is a half-sister to feature winners Aspiring Artist, Rap Artist and Major Exclusive

Aspiring Artist and Rap Artist enjoyed success in 2012 and 2015 Southern Cross Finals, while Major Exclusive captured the 2019 South Australia Derby.

Another sibling, Our Little Artist, was runner up in the 2013 Ladyship Stakes – a race Sunshineanrainbows will contest at Globe Derby on Saturday night.

Making a perfect debut a fortnight ago, Sunshineanrainbows rated 1:59 over 1800 metres to score by 16 metres against older rivals.

Pleased with the two-year-old’s progress, trainer Paul Cavallaro is confident Sunshineanrainbows can remain unbeaten.

To be driven by Dean Girardi, Sunshineanrainbows has drawn to search for the lead from barrier two.

“She is a very nice filly which I still haven’t fully wound up,” Cavallaro said. “She just does everything so easily and takes it all in her stride.

“I have to admit, I know she has ability but I didn’t expect her to do it like she did in her first start.

“Her work has been great since and it will take a pretty good run to beat her.”
