SA TROTS Hes All Torque looking for Vicbred success

LEADING horseman Ryan Hryhorec will fly the South Australian flag interstate tonight.

Fresh from his Southern Cross success at Globe Derby a fortnight ago, Hes All Torque will tackle a Vicbred Super Series heat in Shepparton.

The two-year-old arrived in Victoria last Thursday in what was part of a busy weekend for Hryhorec.

“My step-son Ollie raced his pony in the Inter Dominion Pony Trot in Melton on Saturday night and I took Hes All Torque as well,” Hryhorec said.

“Ollie finished sixth, but it was a great experience for him.

“Along with the racing, the organisers put on a great time for the kids.

“I left Hes All Torque with Peter Thompson and he will stay there for the fortnight.”

To be driven by Chris Alford, Hes All Torque has drawn barrier four, but slots into three as the result of a scratching.

With three heats being conducted, the son of Pet Rock has to finish in the top eight to progress to the semi-finals.

“He copped the strongest heat so it will be interesting to see how he goes,” Hryhorec said.

“As I’ve said before, there is good money filtered down the series to the Bronze Final, so he has a chance to earn well while he is over there.”
