2026 Adelaide APG Yearling Sale
Harness racing enthusiasts are reminded entries close on Sunday for the 2026 APG South Australian Yearling Sale.
The APG sale will be conducted on Sunday, March 29 next year but the cut off time to enter a yearling is at 11pm on Sunday, September 14.
The future growth of harness racing depends on a strong breeding program and sales platform which APG provides.
If you haven’t submitted your yearling yet, time is running out to secure a spot in Australia’s premier Standardbred sale. Once the deadline passes, entries are closed.
The exciting collaboration between APG and Harness Racing South Australia brings South Australian breeders, owners, and harness racing participants access to APG’s nationally-recognised sales platform, combined with racing opportunities.
With strong local support and growing interest from Melbourne buyers and sellers, the 2026 Adelaide Sale promises to showcase South Australian-bred yearlings and create the next generation of racing stars.
Heath Pocock, Chief Executive Officer of HRSA, welcomed the APG Sales announcement.
“Harness Racing South Australia is fully invested in ensuring the best outcomes for our participants, breeders, and racing community,” Mr Pocock said.
“Partnering with APG delivers a valuable platform to showcase South Australian-bred yearlings and create future racing stars.
“I look forward to working closely with the APG team to make this sale a great success.”
Anthony Essex, General Manager of APG, said the expansion reflects APG’s vision and values.
“At APG, our purpose is to ignite, nurture, and promote the harness racing industry across Australia,” Mr Essex said.
“We achieve this by providing breeders, buyers and owners with trusted platforms to sell their yearlings and by offering purchasers access to top-tier futurity racing linked to these yearlings.
“We are thrilled to extend these values to the Festival State, where harness racing enjoys healthy competition and exciting events.
“We look forward to supporting South Australian breeders, owners, and the wider harness racing community.”
Vendors need to note the opportunity to sell your yearling can only occur if you nominate by 11pm on Sunday, September 14.
